Weekly Chapter 2/3
Jumi looked up at him, but her eyes were distant. The sharp bite of Yoongyo’s teeth on her earlobe drew a choked gasp from her. The aftermath of pleasure, that fleeting surrender of the body, wasn’t always sweet. When her senses returned, bitterness coated her tongue.
What if the children woke up? What if some noise pulled them into the room, their innocent eyes finding her like this?
But this time was different. It wasn’t sweet or bitter, not even that hazy middle where everything blurred. Instead, a heavy tension lingered in the air.
His dress shirt collar was streaked with blood. His body, sculpted and fever-hot, clashed with the icy darkness in his gaze.
Even in his roughness, there were glimpses of tenderness. She had been with him countless times, yet he remained a mystery to her.
“Are you mad for me?”
Yoongyo laughed, the sound mocking. Jumi wanted to snap back, to deny it, but she held her tongue.
The fever clinging to her was from their earlier passion.
“Choi Jumi.”
“Huh?”
She hated him with every part of her soul, precisely because she loved him. Her thoughts scattered whenever he was near.
She kissed him, hands gripping his face as if he might disappear. His lips against hers felt like surrender.
She knew the cost of her boldness. He might respond with wild possession, trapping her completely. When the frenzy faded, she’d be left aching from his unrestrained hunger. There was no refinement in what they did, only raw, untamed instinct.
Yet Jumi was no better. Her body craved his brutality. In the end, they were both caught in the same primal game, two sides of the same coin.
He was the only one who could quench her thirst.
She couldn’t deny it. She couldn’t escape him.

A few hours earlier…
As soon as Yoongyo got the report about her, he left the conference room and found Wooseok blocking his path. Silent, Yoongyo studied the man before him, who looked like he’d just heard his daughter had been taken.
He knew Wooseok had something to say.
He had come to beg his son-in-law to save her.
Wooseok, a man who had given half his life to Woosung, had set aside his pride for his daughter. Now, in front of everyone, he bowed deeply to Yoongyo in silent plea. Without stopping, Yoongyo pushed past him.
Outside, his men were waiting.

“Yuho! No!”
Jumi ran to the bedroom where Yoongyo lay asleep. She had barely slept after last night’s passion, forced awake by the children calling for her.
Yuho, standing close to Yoongyo, began hitting the back of his head with a toy. The blanket barely covered Yoongyo’s half-naked body, tangled around his waist.
Her pulse raced. What if he woke up? Or worse, what if Yuho saw his father like this?
