Weekly Chapter 3/3
Jumi handed Jiho to Yoongyo.
“Father.”
“You should be asleep.”
“Asleep. Asleep.”
Jiho mimicked his father’s tone with a smile.
Jiho’s feet felt like grapes in his hands. Yoongyo said he liked that Jiho looked like her, but Jumi said she liked Jiho because he looked like him.
She would become overwhelmed when she noticed the child resembled Yoongyo.
This relationship did not start with love, but now they had a treasure. Would they have stayed together even without Jiho? She was immersed in those thoughts.
Had she not encountered him, Jiho would never have come into existence.
No matter what path she took, their lives were destined to be together. In that case, she felt she could overcome any difficulties.
She wished for more joyful days like this in her life. Grape stickers adorned the marble floor, and crayons were scattered all around.
Why did she feel like crying when she saw that?
“You can’t sleep late.”
“You can’t. Father.”
“Do you want to spend your whole life feeling small and insignificant?”
“Peanuts?”
The child laughed because he didn’t understand what his father was talking about.
His small hand touched Yoongyo’s cheek. His subordinates would have been surprised. Who under heaven would have the audacity to touch Yoongyo’s cheek?
Jumi went to the bathroom after she looked at the child in his father’s arms.
When the second baby was born, the house would be fuller. Jumi smiled.
She had never considered the possibility of having a joyful family life.
Yoongyo had brought her happiness she had never felt before.
Jumi smiled as she stood under the shower.
She needed to spend some time in the bathroom to remove any traces he had left. After Jumi dried her wet hair, she went to the kitchen.
As Yoongyo headed to the bathroom, she settled the sleepy child down for a nap.
Finally, she poured juice into a glass. She would have enjoyed a glass of wine to fully unwind, but she couldn’t now because she was expecting her second child.
“The plate…”
She stood on tiptoe to reach for a plate, but the plate disappeared from her sight. Yoongyo had taken the plate before she realized it.
“You should put the dishes down.”
“I will.”
Yoongyo was almost naked.
If he decided to wear a robe, he should fasten it. Leaving it open served no purpose.
A massive object was suspended in the heart of the forest. It would hurt her teeth if she bit into its hard abs. She shouldn’t think about it. Better she would drink the juice.
It had been two years since she’d lived with him, but she couldn’t get used to looking at his naked body. She had been on his chest many times.
When she raised her head, she made eye contact with Yoongyo.
He sat on a chair in the dining room.
“Would you like to have a meal with me?”
