Weekly Chapter 1/3
His subordinates moved quickly. As she embraced him, she sensed that he would return Jiho to her unharmed.
Tears blurred her vision, and Jiho appeared like a mirage before her eyes. The boy bore a striking resemblance to Yoongyo.
Yoongyo’s little alter ego.
“Mom!”
Kyung looked down at Jumi, who was seated on the floor.
“React Jumi.”
“Jiho!!”
As soon as she called out to Jiho, he leaped into Jumi’s arms.
“Mom. Are you crying? I drank juice. This one is for Juho.”
He held a bottle of orange juice, likely purchased for his younger brother.
“Were you spending time with your grandmother?”
“Yes, I drank juice with my grandmother.”
The boy hugged his mother, though he doesn’t know why she cries. Kyung clicked her tongue because she thought Jumi was pathetic.
“Always let your mom know where you’re headed.”
After reviewing the CCTV footage, a hospital employee approached. Even the hospital director came to see her, but he could not approach because Yoongyo’s subordinates would not allow it. So he withdrew.
Then Jiho approached Yoongyo. Jiho took out the chocolate bar he had kept in his pocket. Despite the chocolate bar being battered, Jumi cried because he had kept it in his pocket to give to his dad.
“Are you trying to give me cavities?”
Jiho chuckled at Yoongyo’s joke, and a dimple formed on his cheek.
But Kyung intervened.
“I’ll look after Jiho for a few days, so you can focus on Jooho.”
“Alright…”
“Jiho. Mom is busy with Jooho.”
Kyung clicked her tongue because Jumi was still in a daze. Jiho felt disgruntled as he saw his mother’s tears. He knew his mother was feeling sad.
“But just for today.”
Heedong, who had been watching the corridor, approached Yoongyo. Heedong wore a serious expression, as if he was discussing some violent trouble.
Yoongyo would leave? If only he would remain by her side today. Jumi anxiously watched him, and with a gesture from Yoongyo, the conversation ceased.
“Must you leave right now?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll stay by your side.”
“…No. I’ve never acted like that.”
“If I go, you’ll wait for me all night.”
Yoongyo was right.
“You’re always in tears now with two kids. Just imagine if you had another one.”
Jumi who had begged him to find Jiho. She worried too much about her children. She whined for him to protect her son.
She felt the urge to ask him to stay by her side.
“If you’ve got something to say, just say it.”
