Weekly Chapter 3/3
Occasionally, her children would seek her out upon waking. Some days she fortunately had the door locked, but there were many times when she had sex with the room door open. That was why she felt anxious.
Jumi wanted Yoongyo to be more careful, but she didn’t want him to push her away. She massaged her temples and wondered if he would actually leave.
She stopped him.
“What are you doing? You said you were going to work.”
He looked colder than ice.
“Yoongyo.”
She couldn’t keep holding onto him. His eyes were as cold as ice on a frozen lake. She let go of his arm. He said dryly,
“If you need anything, ask Gwangmyeong.”
Then he simply walked away.
Jumi stood there like a lost puppy.
He hadn’t been home for two days. It was unusual because Yoongyo had changed. He would never have acted this way before. She suspected he had another woman. He seemed very busy and didn’t mind sleeping without her.
She held her belly where her baby was growing. She held back her disappointment. It hurt more that he had lost interest in her than the fact that he had a girlfriend.

“Boss, is everything okay today?”
After lunch, when the coffee shop was bustling with customers, Jumi sat at a seat with a great view outside. Eunju approached her.
“I couldn’t sleep last night.”
“You look exhausted.”
“Would you like a drink? It’s on me.”
“Thanks.”
Jumi had tea with Eunju. Although she could sleep peacefully at night because he wasn’t there, she had a feeling it would be a sleepless night. She left the coffee shop.
She received a phone call from Hyeseon. Since the children weren’t coming home, she decided to meet her to shake off the melancholy.
As soon as they met, Hyeseon expressed how sad she was about leaving the meeting abruptly. Then she talked about other things. Hyeseon was so engrossed in the conversation that she forgot she was thirsty, but Jumi couldn’t focus at all.
When Jumi became pregnant, she felt sick several times a day, likely due to hormonal factors, but she had never felt as bad as she did now.
Hyeseon noticed Jumi’s strange mood.
“What’s wrong? Did you have another fight with your husband? I’m sure you’ll make up soon.”
“That’s not it.”
After getting married, Jumi’s conversations became more realistic.
In the past, she never talked about it even with friends, but after marriage, her conversations became more realistic.
Yoongyo lost interest in her; he could even be away from her for several days.
“He doesn’t call me every day anymore.”
“Is that why you’re so down? I can see why he got bored.”
Hyeseon laughed out loud.
“Don’t make fun of me. What do you think is wrong with Yoongyo? Why did he get bored with me?”
