“Are they looking for me?”

Eunha’s large eyes welled up with tears, surprising the men who knew her as a brave soul.

He had an ominous feeling when these people mentioned her name.

Eunha rubbed her eyelids. She knew their identity. Eunha clearly remembered where she had seen the military uniforms they wore.

They wore the same attire as the assassin Jihak had slain with an arrow, on the day they went hunting together. Her legs trembled because now she had become their target.

“Let’s leave this place now.”

The leader helped the dazed Eunha. After he looked around carefully, he took her to a cabin they had built in the mountains. The cabin was filled with dried meats, it looked like it was built to watch over the traps set during the winter.

Eunha huddled in the corner.

They had all heard the rumors about Eunha, but they didn’t care. In their eyes, she was the fearless girl who ran through the mountains, vowing to save her sister from the courtesan’s house. That was the real Eunha.

“I don’t know why they are looking for you, but don’t worry. We trust you.”

Everyone nodded at the hunter leader’s words.

Eunha remembered the gunshot she heard a moment ago.

“I heard a gunshot earlier. Was anyone hurt?”

Eunha lay down on the floor covered with rice straw. She finally relaxed.

But she had heard a scream. She really hoped no one had been hurt.

She felt depressed because at Jihak’s house she had been treated like a criminal.

“I want to know about your situation. I heard your sister left Harye. Why are you here?”
