Weekly Chapter 2/4
“God has never granted my wishes just because I prayed. Jihak is beyond God’s reach. Do you guys really believe that God can return Eunha to us?”
No one could offer comfort to Yongi’s pessimistic words. They had abandoned Harye. They had risked their lives to escape.
Park froze when he remembered the moment when Jihak stood before the clinic.
“Eunha is brave, nothing bad will happen.”
Yongi raised her head to the priest who came to her side. In the priest’s hand was Eunha’s weapon wrapped in cloth.
Tears slowly fell from Yongi’s eyes as she received the weapon.
“She is pregnant. I’m sure the man will find out.”
Park stood up.
“Is that really true?”
“I checked. Morning sickness is severe at this stage, who is he?”
“A high aristocrat.”
“An aristocrat?”
Park ran his hand over his face, his emotions growing even more complex.
She shouldn’t be separated from the baby’s father.
Did she have a strange reason to run away from him? Or was this man not the father?
Park was lost in thought when Yongi suddenly stood up. When she left the clinic, Park considered that the time had come to leave town.

She felt that her body was wet.
Had she lost her senses? Eunha saw that it was dark outside the closed window. She didn’t want to lift a finger because she had no strength.
She exhaled. She felt that the inside of her throat was hot. Did she have a fever? Should she sleep some more? Then would she feel better?
Eunha rolled over in bed. She was confused because the room was empty. She was with him when she passed out.
Every time she looked away, he hugged her tighter, he seemed to vent his anger. Eunha, who stroked her lower abdomen, prayed.
Please, I don’t want to suffer anymore.
“She appears unwell, she needs soft food.”
Jihak’s voice was heard beyond the door. The lamp light flashes.
“Are you truly planning to take her to Harye?”
Then she heard Yuljae’s voice. Eunha covered herself with the blanket.
“Prepare the palanquin for tomorrow. I want everything to be perfect when I reach Harye.”
“They work for the Queen Mother. She will be angry.”
“Since when do you fear the Queen Mother?”
“But…”
“You can kill them all. But I don’t want to see them again.”
Was he really planning to leave for Harye tomorrow?
Eunha remembered Kim’s demonic face, which still appeared in her dreams.
He wished she would disappear.
Every time she was in a difficult situation, she remembered his face. She hated him. Sometimes she cursed him. When she felt sad, she would wet her pillow with her tears.
But she never wished Kim would die. She felt she had a soft heart.
She buried her face in the pillow. The pain she had experienced surfaced in her mind.
“I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”
Finally, Jihak opened the door, but stopped.
“My Lord, can’t you see?”
Yuljae, standing behind Jihak, asked worriedly.
“It will just take a moment.”
“This is happening more often. You really need to take a break.”
When Jihak winked at him, Yuljae with a stern expression closed the door.
Eunha stood up quietly.
Jihak took only three steps. He glanced toward the spot where she had been lying.
She was aware his vision was failing, yet it appeared he saw nothing.
Her heart dropped when she saw his unfocused eyes. Their eyes had never failed to meet before. He kept his gaze fixed on her.
“Jihak…”
He stared straight ahead at the sound of her soft voice, his brow twitching slightly. Then he lowered his gaze to her.
“You’re awake.”
“Can’t you see me?”
