Weekly Chapter 3/4
“Can’t you see me?”
Jihak took three steps forward with his eyes closed. Then he opened his eyes. His vision became clear, and as always, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
“Now will you feel sorry for me?”
“Why do you say that?”
“Just don’t you dare feel sorry for me.”
He raised her wrist and pressed a kiss to the spot where her pulse throbbed. Eunha was confused. Jihak behaved as though he could see, but she wasn’t sure.
It broke her heart to know that his eyes were damaged.
“You have a fever.”
Her tears wet the blanket, but he didn’t even know it.
“You’re hot.”
His gaze drifted slowly, appearing to study Eunha’s face.
“Why are you crying?”
Eunha didn’t answer, just avoided eye contact.
“I’m worried about my sister.”
“Don’t you worry about me?”
“Many people worry about you, but my sister…”
“You’re all I desire…”
Jihak wrapped a red rope around her wrists, then tied a tight knot.
“I don’t plan to lose you again.”
“I didn’t abandon you.”
“I rescued your sister. I kept my promise, but you betrayed me.”
Betrayal.
She could not refute his words. Eunha felt a deep chill.
Her betrayal left a profound wound. Jihak thought about her every day. He just wanted to hold her. He couldn’t understand how she had abandoned him.
“Even though I betrayed you, my feelings for you remain the same.”
Her salty tears touched her lips. Jihak gazed into her eyes in silence, as if he was trying to assess her sincerity or simply seeking an escape from trouble.
He sighed.
“What should I do? I hold onto resentment.”

She wondered why her body was so hot.
Her body temperature had risen. She drifted off to sleep without touching a single spoonful of jatjuk, clearly showing her refusal.
Her body instinctively rejected everything she tried to give it. Jihak draped the clothes Yuljae had brought over Eunha’s shoulders.
The Great Prince untied the rope wrapped around her wrists. Then she massaged the marks on her wrist. Her gaze was fixed on the mark.
“I will bind your wrists again when you get into the palanquin.”
“Understood.”
“Don’t forget to eat. You haven’t eaten anything.”
Jihak placed the clothes before her.
“Get dressed in these clothes.”
“Yes.”
As he left the room with a stern expression, Yuljae pointed outside.
“Yongi.”
She gripped the palanquin tightly.
“She wants to see Eunha.”
“Kill her.”
