Weekly Chapter 4/4
“My lord.”
“Just kidding.”
The Prince put his hand on Yuljae’s shoulder, who was noticeably nervous.
When Jihak reached the yard, Yongi stood up.
“Please forgive my rudeness.”
Yongi bowed with folded hands.
As Jihak came closer, Yongi, feeling overwhelmed, took a few steps back.
But he paid no attention to her, just looked at the palanquin.
“Can it support Eunha’s weight all the way to Harye?”
The palanquin bearer bowed his head.
“Yes. In this town nobody uses a palanquin, so it’s never been used.”
“But it looks old.”
“The sea breeze erodes things quickly, but it’s still useful.”
Jihak nodded with a disgruntled expression.
Then Yuljae began to negotiate wages with the palanquin bearer.
Jihak faced the stunned Yongi.
“You were quite the ungrateful creature yourself.”
“I apologize. But I am her older sister, so I had no choice.”
“You really think there’s a valid reason.”
“How was Eunha all night?”
Yongi asked Jihak. A murderous intent appeared in his eyes.
“She slept next to me all night… She ate well.”
“Why do you want to take Eunha to Harye?”
“You still don’t know…?”
The veins in his temples bulged.
Jihak looked at Yongi in silence.
“What are you talking about? What do I need to know?”
He coldly smiled.
“Sister!”
Eunha came out of the room and saw her sister. Yongi was not the only one who was bewildered. Jihak, who ran to her, lifted her body in his arms.
Her heart raced as a soothing sensation filled her chest. Eunha lowered her head. She bit her lower lip because she hugged his neck tightly.
“Don’t listen to what my sister says. Just listen to what I say, Jihak.”
His mind quickly went into chaos. It was obvious she was concealing something.
“You’re definitely toying with me.”
Jihak sat Eunha down in the drawing room, then put on her newly purchased shoes.
Despite his anger towards Eunha, it was well-known that she was the Great Prince’s most cherished person. However, Yongi couldn’t conceal her shame.
She knew the Great Prince loved her, but she never thought he would behave like this.
The Great Prince committed a disgraceful deed on behalf of Eunha. Women were possessions for nobles. They could behave like kind men, but also like cold men.
Yongi took a step back.
She felt a peculiar sensation in her heart. Perhaps she misunderstood why Eunha kept her child a secret? She thought it was out of shame, as Eunha was pregnant by the man she loathed. She couldn’t find the courage to comfort Eunha.
Yet, Eunha clung to the man’s neck, seemingly fearful of losing him.
Her lovely cheeks were flushed.
“Do you want to go with him?”
Eunha raised her head. Yongi continued,
“I will accept whatever you want, Eunha.”
