Weekly Chapter 2/4
“She’ll be alright. So don’t worry. I think you need to get some rest. I’ll also prepare medicinal herbs for Jihak.”
“I’m fine.”
The doctor smiled bitterly as he looked at the scars on Jihak’s palms. His face was haggard. In fact, he looked worse than the woman.
After he removed the needles, the doctor checked Eunha’s pulse one more time and confirmed that her breathing had calmed down. Finally, he stood up.
“Keep a close watch on her. I’ll return tomorrow.”
“Understood.”
“A woman with a child should feel comfortable. She shouldn’t feel anxious.”
Jihak looked at Eunha’s face. The oil lamp flickered as the doctor closed the door. Only then did Jihak slowly look around and realize that he had returned with Harye. He was at home.
She should have told him she was sick.
Jihak closed his eyes. He had missed her so much.
The anger he felt towards her had disappeared, sadness had taken its place.
He kissed the small hand several times, then placed his forehead against hers. When he thought she had run away pregnant, he felt a pain tear through his body.
She had not trusted him.
Jihak lay down beside her. He stroked her hand that was regaining its body temperature, buried his face in her breast like a docile child.
The gentle rhythm of her breathing, combined with the rain’s patter, felt like a soothing lullaby. Her consciousness clouded as the tension was released from her body.
The Great Prince embraced her.

Eunha was awakened by the birds’ chirping.
Tree branches swayed beyond the open window.
Eunha had her eyes lost in the blue sky.
Did the rain stop?
She wished to rise, but the chill lingered.
Eunha, who covered herself with the blanket, tried to remember the night before. She passed out several times in the palanquin. She did not remember when she had arrived at this place.
She sensed that the pain had caused her to turn over in bed. But she was not sure.
She curled up. Eunha, after surveying Jihak’s room, rose to her feet despite her lingering aches.
Even though the morning had gone by, the house remained very quiet.
She even felt that she was the only person here.
Suddenly, she heard Jihak’s footsteps.
She experienced difficulty breathing.
