Weekly Chapter 3/4
“My Lord, the woman has woken up.”
Yuljae, who had been observing from a distance, walked over to Jihak. The Great Prince had anxiously awaited the news that she had woken up.
But Jihak nodded calmly.
“Dispatch representatives to the palace to inform them that we have uncovered the source of the conspiracy in Harye, and request military assistance through a formal letter.”
“I will.”
“Once the answer arrives, everything will come to an end.”
The bloodbath Kim used to mention could happen.
Upon receiving the orders, Yuljae walked away. He thought he would leave when he knew Eunha had woken up, but he hadn’t moved yet.
Had he lost his mind? Or did he not care about Eunha’s condition as he had hoped?
The strong wind slightly tilted Jihak’s gat hat back. The Great Prince then adjusted his hat.
His hand trembled visibly, and he appeared to be struggling to conceal his anxiety. His face looked tired. Yuljae’s doubts were resolved.
He admitted that he had made a mistake.

“Aromatic oils don’t have a strong smell, so you won’t feel bad.”
Eunha entered the bathroom located at the rear of his quarters. The bathtub was filled with warm water. Eunha sank into the bathtub, surrounded by the faint aroma of an unfamiliar flower, and closed her eyes. She entrusted her body to Gari.
“Your morning sickness has left you looking so frail.”
“Have I lost that much weight?”
“Of course! I feel like I’m going to break you.”
Gari cleaned her body carefully. She thoroughly washed her long hair. She longed for the newfound sense of peace to last.
“I don’t want to go out because the water is still warm…”
“You can stay. I’ll be back before the water gets cold, so don’t worry.”
“Thank you.”
Gari was relieved when she saw her smile. She wiped away her tears.
She said she would bring snacks when she left.
Eunha gazed up at the ceiling, which was shrouded in white steam.
What she had experienced in that town felt like a dream.
She even felt like she had escaped from a long nightmare. But when she remembered Yongi, she was trapped in gloomy thoughts.
Why did they give me that room…?
Gari said that she was the only one who could enter his quarters.
Besides, she told her stories about the past.
Jihak never went to her room while she had a high fever. The Great Prince, who left early in the morning for the annex, returned late. It was the farthest place from home. It was also a place where no sound could be heard.
Maybe Jihak is avoiding me?
She watched the steam dissipate. She closed her eyes as fatigue overcame her. Eunha, unable to resist the deep sleep, started to drift into unconsciousness.
She dreamed of sitting under a red apple tree, holding hands with someone as white apple blossoms gently fell on their heads.
Her head tilted back, but before it could hit the edge of the bathtub, a large hand supported her.
Eunha’s eyes widened as she looked at the man holding the back of her neck.
“Jihak.”
