Weekly Chapter 3/3
“Yes. I will marry Jihak.”
“Our Eunha will become a married woman.”
Yongi stroked Eunha’s hair. She flushed with a gentle nervousness, as the prospect of their shared future appeared more radiant than ever.
Yuljae, observing the two women, detected the presence of the Great Prince.
“My Lord, you have returned swiftly…”
“Good job.”
A broad smile appeared on Jihak’s lips. Yuljae was left speechless as he stared at him wearing glasses. He laughed at his reaction. Maybe he thought his vision had gotten worse.
“Don’t worry. Eunha likes my face with glasses.”
“Is your close-up vision failing you?”
“Maybe one day, but I’m doing my best to delay it.”
It was evident he had come to terms with the eventual loss of his vision, yet he was determined not to surrender. Jihak then leaned in and whispered softly, placing a hand on Yuljae’s shoulder.
“Remember, you’re a man as well.”
Yuljae looked at Yongi with a serious expression.
“I’m not sure. You can hurt me.”
“I think you’re not considering it properly.”
Yuljae’s gaze stayed locked on Yongi. His expression showed a blend of emotions that Jihak had never seen before.
“It was an unwise idea. You don’t have to emulate my actions. Life is too short for love. Nonetheless, I believe you should speak up to prevent any misunderstandings.”
Yuljae clenched his fists.
“Congratulations on the wedding. I hope you will be happy.”
“Thank you.”
“You saved me from being killed by my father.”
“It didn’t suit you to become a butcher.”
Yuljae bowed. Jihak placed a leaf over his head,
“Remain still until the leaf drops.”
Jihak walked over to where they stood. When Yongi saw him, she bowed politely.
When he pointed to Yuljae, they made eye contact. The young woman walked toward him. Yongi, who noticed the leaf above Yuljae’s head, covered her mouth.
“It’s not a caterpillar, it’s a leaf.”
“Caterpillar?”
“Yes, it’s a leaf.”
It was clear that Jihak had made a joke.
She raised her hand to his head. He held his breath as the fragrance of lilies drifted nearer. The leaf fluttered down until it landed on the floor.
“Thank you.”
His heart pounded as he rested his forehead on her shoulder.
He realized he longed to be near her physically.

People were filled with envy, having never witnessed such a stunning wedding before.
It was a typical early summer day.
For the couple, this day was so eventful it could fill an entire book.

Time after.
Crimson.
He felt the searing heat consume him.
He could only cut the creatures that rushed at him. They had limbs twisted unnaturally and covered with a thick blood-like substance.
A darkness engulfed their feet. Jihak looked around with a crazed expression.
Where is Eunha? Where is the baby? What is this?
