After she left the bathroom, she returned to her room with a small pain in her lower abdomen. It was a different sensation. When Eunha frowned, his eyes narrowed.

“I’ll call the doctor.”

Eunha prevented Jihak from getting up from the mat.

“I don’t feel pain, just a little discomfort.”

“It seems you’ve fallen gravely sick once more.”

“Me?”

“The last few days I carried you to the bathroom in my arms.”

“I had caught a cold at the time.”

Jihak, who settled on the mat, pushed her hair aside on her forehead. Then he carefully placed his hand on her lower abdomen.

“Or have I teased you too much!”

His warm hand surprised her. Eunha blinked.

When he pressed his lips against her ear, she nervously smiled.

“Why do you tremble more when I touch you?”

“I don’t know either.”

“No. I’m trembling for no apparent reason. Do you tremble when you’re afraid?”

Eunha guided his hand to her chest, treating it as though it were a cherished possession.

Her chest throbbed with rapid heartbeats.

“Do you want me to hold you?”

She lowered her gaze.

Jihak gently kissed her half-open red lips, then asked again,

“Or do you want me to kiss you again?”

Eunha, upon understanding the implication after a delay, was briefly taken aback.

“I don’t know affection.”

“Jihak…”

“I thought it was a dream…”

Her cheeks glowed with a warmth akin to flames. He thought it was adorable that she was embarrassed. She didn’t know what to do.

Jihak caressed Eunha’s cheeks.

But the word love could not explain the emotions that were coiled inside him.

The monster inside him would not be satisfied with just kissing her. Despite her being cradled in his embrace, he didn’t feel like he had her. He wanted her heart to be his.

When he was completely blind, could he bear not to see her face?
