Eunha swallowed the rice in her mouth, then remembered what had happened in a dream. Her sister waited for her as soon as she left the house.

They walked along a forest path in the spring sunlight. When she asked her sister what she wanted to do, she replied that she wanted to live with her for a long time. Then she said she would make Eunha’s favorite red bean rice cake.

“Then read that book to me tomorrow.”

The book she had last read three days ago had her hair tie. After she retrieved the hair tie, she warmed her frozen hands with her breath.
