Chapter 129. Ready To Be Parents (1)

*Beep! Beep!*
The alarm blared incessantly. Grimacing, Seo Gyuha groped around his pillow to find his phone and silence it. He lay there for a moment before reluctantly sitting up.
The clock on his phone read 9:01 AM. Normally, he would have gone back to sleep without hesitation, but today wasn’t a normal day—it was a hospital check-up day.
Just as he began to get up, the door opened, and Chayoung stepped in. Seeing Seo Gyuha sitting on the bed, he smiled and approached.
“You’re up. I was just about to wake you.”
His smile deepened. Everything about the still-sleepy Seo Gyuha, from his half-lidded eyes to his messily tousled hair, was irresistibly endearing.
“Go wash up. We should get ready soon if we don’t want to be late.”
“I told you I could go alone in the afternoon. You’re so annoying…”
After rubbing his face a couple of times, Seo Gyuha got out of bed. Meanwhile, Chayoung asked the housekeeper to prepare breakfast and headed to the dressing room to choose their outfits for the outing.
Humming softly, he picked out clothes. Since last month, Chayoung had been accompanying Seo Gyuha to every prenatal check-up, personally driving him there. The habit began on the day they moved into their new home. While inspecting the newly arranged house, he had stumbled upon a small notebook on the living room table.
The cover featured an adorable sheep illustration, along with the titles ‘Parents’ Diary’, ‘I love you, Surprise’, and the hospital name printed neatly below.
Immediately realizing what it was, he flipped through the pages with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Sure enough, it contained ultrasound images and detailed examination notes, with the date of the next check-up written on the last page.
That same night, while massaging a drowsy and half-asleep Seo Gyuha, he had whispered into his ear with his best persuasive tone,
“Next time you go to a check-up, let me come with you. We can eat something delicious afterward, okay?”
To his surprise, perhaps out of sleepiness, Seo Gyuha had agreed without much fuss. From that day on, they made it a routine. However, another concern weighed on Chayoung. Male omegas, due to limited abdominal expansion, typically gave birth around the eighth month of pregnancy. He worried whether a general hospital could properly handle such a delivery.
To address this, he suggested switching to a hospital affiliated with his family’s business. Leveraging both funds and influence, he ensured there were dedicated facilities for male omega patients. Since then, every Saturday morning had been dedicated to hospital visits and lunch outings.

Leaving the house on time, they arrived punctually at the hospital. The waiting room, as usual, was packed.
While Chayoung handled the check-in, Seo Gyuha headed to a special room for male omega patients. The space was always empty, and today was no exception. Sitting on the couch, he waited until Chayoung joined him, taking a seat right next to him despite the abundance of open space. Taking his hand, he began to massage it lightly.
“Did you check your blood pressure yet?”
“Not yet. I’ll do it in a bit.”
“What should we eat later? Anything you’re craving?”
“What about you?”
“I’m fine with anything.”
Hearing his casual reply, Seo Gyuha couldn’t help but chuckle softly. It felt like just yesterday that Chayoung had been dry-heaving or sneaking bananas late at night. Now, he had fully returned to normal.
“Let’s get sushi.”
“Perfect.”
As soon as they decided, Chayoung pulled out his phone to make a reservation. Before long, a knock at the door was followed by a nurse entering.
“Mr. Seo, the doctor is ready for you.”
