Chapter 14. Let’s Finish What We Started (6)
Translator: Lili
“Everyone, cheers!”
“Cheers!”
Multiple glasses clinked together in the air, producing a crisp sound. The noise was loud, but nobody turned their head to notice.
It was Friday, and Seo Gyuha had closed his cafe early to head to a nearby restaurant with his staff. It had been a while since they last had a company dinner, and the occasion also served as a small comfort after a tough ordeal they had experienced a few days prior.
“Eat as much as you like, everyone. Order anything you want.”
Cheers erupted along with applause. The employees, some of whom had been with him for as short as three months and others since the cafe opened, shared a jovial and warm atmosphere. While pouring beer into the manager’s glass, who was sitting next to him, Gyuha asked,
“Isn’t it too busy? Sales went up a lot last month.”
“Weekends and rush hours are a bit hectic, but it’s manageable.”
“Should we hire a male part-timer?”
Although unintentional, all the staff and part-timers at the café happened to be women. Two of them were omegas, but they were diligent and capable of handling physical tasks, so there was neither dissatisfaction nor concern. Still, he suddenly thought having a male employee around wouldn’t be a bad idea—mainly because of that miserable jerk from a few days ago.
“I don’t mind, as long as he’s not lazy.”
“I wouldn’t like that either. I’ll post the job on the site tomorrow, so put up a notice on the door too.”
“Got it. By the way, can we aim for a beta?”
“Of course. How could I refuse you?”
“You’re the best, boss!”
Hearing the manager’s flattering words, Gyuha took a sip from his glass with a grin.
It should be noted that Gyuha, having attended all-boys middle and high schools and only having relationships with men, had a certain fantasy about women. Hanging out with rough-talking, rowdy friends made the calm demeanor and different atmosphere of his female staff stand out. Though there were exceptions, like the unrestrained Kim Moran.
The restaurant’s vibe was equally pleasant. A fusion eatery catering to young patrons, it played upbeat pop songs in the background. They enjoyed a relaxed meal amidst lively conversations when the manager’s gaze suddenly landed somewhere.
“Boss, isn’t your phone ringing?”
Following her eyes, Gyuha noticed the name ‘Lee Chayoung’ displayed on his phone screen. He picked it up after staring at it briefly.
“Yeah.”
— Hey, what’re you up to?
“Having dinner.”
— You’re eating late.
As usual, his voice was leisurely. Feeling somewhat full, Gyuha grabbed his cigarette pack and lighter before stepping out of his seat.
“Why’d you call?”
— I remembered you still owe me money.
For a moment, Gyuha’s face stiffened. It had been so long he’d completely forgotten.
“You could’ve asked for it when you came over last time.”
— I forgot too. I was… distracted.
A deep furrow formed between his brows. He immediately understood what ‘distracted’ referred to. Lighting his cigarette, Gyuha finally replied.
“Just consider it a donation, rich boy. Don’t be so stingy.”
— What rich boy? I’m just a salaried worker.
“Salaried worker, my ass.”
He snorted. While it was technically true, calling himself broke was ridiculous.
“Give me your account number.”
— Forget that. Come over. Don’t you want to finish what we started?
The meaning of his words was unmistakable. Pausing to exhale a puff of smoke, Gyuha remembered they hadn’t finished what they’d started last time.
‘Might as well go; I need to pay him back anyway.’
Stubbing out his cigarette on the ground, he answered,
“Send me the address.”

When the elevator doors opened, a long hallway appeared. Walking down the quiet corridor, Gyuha twisted his lips in irritation. Living alone in a penthouse villa in one of the city’s most expensive neighborhoods while claiming to be a ‘salaried worker’ was absurd.
After pressing the doorbell, the front door opened moments later to reveal Lee Chayoung with wet hair and a black robe.
“Come in.”
The interior was equally spacious and lavish. Yet, there was a strange, tingling sensation—an indescribable feeling of something unseen subtly pricking his skin. After glancing around briefly, Gyuha spoke.
“I’ll take a shower.”
“You don’t need to.”
“What? Do you want to roll around with someone stinking of sweat?”
“Way to kill the mood.”
Chayoung chuckled and gestured toward the bathroom. Inside, Gyuha stripped off his clothes and stood under the shower. The warm water gushed over him as he hastily lathered up and even washed his hair. Only one area remained.
Facing away from the showerhead, he bent slightly and spread his legs, letting the water stream there. Hesitating, he slowly massaged around the entrance with his finger.
‘Ugh, this feels so weird.’
It wasn’t unpleasant, just unfamiliar. Though he’d experienced an*l s*x and used toys before, he still wasn’t used to it. After some hesitation, he inserted a finger.
“Ha.”
Exhaling heavily, he added another finger. The added pressure felt different. Moving his fingers in and out was easy, but no matter how deep he reached, he couldn’t find that spot—the one that had sent shocks of pleasure through him before.
‘Damn it. Just a bit more…’
Suddenly, the bathroom door burst open. Turning his head slowly, Gyuha froze. Seeing his expression, Chayoung smirked.
“Doing it alone, huh?”
“…!”
A wave of heat flushed over him as he stood straight. Just as he was about to curse, his expression quickly changed to one of alarm as Chayoung stepped closer.
“Why are you here?”
“Why not? Can’t the homeowner enter his own bathroom?”
“That’s not—”
His words caught in his throat. Before he could react, Chayoung was right in front of him, pressing him against the cold tiles.
