Chapter 126. Photo Shoot (1)

At that moment, the makeup artist and hairdresser intervened to reassure them.
“Don’t worry, the photo shoot will turn out well. His hair looks fantastic, so it will be easy to style.”
“That’s right. I’ll make sure the foundation is perfect so that he doesn’t need a lot of touch-ups on his makeup, and the process is less stressful. His skin is excellent, so a light layer will suffice. I’ll be quick.”
Their tone was as warm as their appearances. They seemed quite affable. When See-ah introduced them, she mentioned that she had worked with them several times before.
Once Lee-Seob made himself comfortable in the chair, they approached him and began to work with skillful hands. True to their word, the makeup and hair were finished faster than expected.
Now, only Minkyung and Lee-Seob remained in the preparation room. Minkyung handed him the clothes for the first concept. He put on some casual cotton pants, a thin, soft Assam cotton Henley shirt with a square pattern woven into it, and a navy blue sports jacket over it.
The sports jacket had a white, patterned handkerchief folded irregularly in the breast pocket. While SS didn’t attract much attention this season, it was a classic yet bold design. Derrick Chae’s touch was evident.
The navy blue color made Lee-Seob’s fair skin stand out more, which made him look intellectual yet pure. That was what was wanted with the outfit.
As Minkyung buttoned his jacket, she said,
“Please let me know if you start to feel unwell. I’ll be nearby watching.”
“Okay.”
If Minkyung noticed that Lee-Seob’s condition was poor, she could have the photo shoot stopped. However, Lee-Seob had firmly opposed that idea. His phobia of flashes was a secret except to her.
Given her concern prior to the shoot, Lee-Seob even made her promise that the shoot wouldn’t be halted due to his condition without his explicit order. As a last resort, Minkyung proposed to have a code between them,
“If you raise your right hand, I’ll stop the shoot.”
“Like this?”
Lee-Seob playfully raised his right hand next to his face.
“Isn’t this the pose one makes in an oath?”
“Just let me know anyway.”
“I will give my best.”
Lee-Seob chuckled and took the oath. Since Minkyung didn’t smile at first, he raised his hand even more playfully. She finally burst into laughter at his antics.
Once the photo shoot was about to start, Minkyung’s tension increased exponentially. In contrast, Lee-Seob seemed relaxed. Three large spotlights were placed around him. The photographer adjusted his position and checked the brightness. Lee-Seob squinted at the camera.
The studio was almost empty, only one assistant remained. According to the original agreement, there should be three assistants in total and a junior editor from W Fashion magazine.
“Why are there so few people? Isn’t the photo shoot about to start?”
At Minkyung’s question, See-ah responded nonchalantly,
“Ah, about that… We didn’t need several assistants or a junior editor. I decided to take care of the snapshots, write the reviews of the photo shoot, and assist the photographer myself. It won’t be difficult. I’ve seen it done so many times that I can do it better than any assistant.”
“You didn’t have to go that far. The Director isn’t that vulnerable. I’m sorry, See-ah. I didn’t want to make you feel pressured.”
“No, I did it voluntarily. After some consideration, I realized that junior editors could pose a problem, as they might lose control of their tongues in their excitement. This industry is quick with gossip.”
