Chapter 154. I Want To End This Relationship (3)
Translator: Lili
“I don’t want an IV.”
From the basement parking lot of his apartment, Lee-Seob began to protest.
“I don’t feel so bad.”
“At least get a check-up at the hospital…”
He tilted his head, complaining,
“Do I look that weak to you?”
“No, not at all.”
Minkyung protected his delicate pride.
“I’m just worried it might get worse.”
Finally, he smiled warmly at her.
“Okay, give me an hour.”
“An hour?”
“Let me rest at home for an hour. If I don’t feel better, I’ll do as you say. IV or doctor, whatever.”
Reluctantly, she nodded.
While he changed clothes, Minkyung prepared tea and a light snack in the kitchen. She boiled water in the kettle and scooped lemon preserve into mugs. The abalone porridge she had ordered earlier was poured into a pot and heated thoroughly.
After showering, Lee-Seob emerged in a short-sleeve t-shirt and knee-length training pants. Sitting across the dining table, he ate the porridge she served without complaint. They then moved to the sofa, each with a mug of lemon tea.
Lee-Seob mixed powdered cold medicine into his tea, complaining about the taste but drinking it quickly. He wrapped his left arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his embrace. She rested her head against his chest and collarbone, sipping her tea slowly.
“Shouldn’t we kiss?”
He asked, caressing her cheek with his folded arm.
“You might pass your cold to me.”
She looked up at him. Watching her for a moment, he set his mug on the table.
“If I don’t kiss you on the lips, I don’t think I’ll pass it on to you.”
He took her mug and set it down with a soft clink before pulling her into a tight embrace. When they had entered the apartment, he had hugged her gently, but now he held her firmly. He kissed her neck with a soft smack, lightly sucking just enough to leave no mark.
She made a slight sound of protest. His finger scratched gently at the spot he had kissed, making her shiver involuntarily. As he repeated the motion, her body gradually leaned back until her back was almost touching the sofa. Desperately clinging to her dwindling sense of reason, she said,
“You already kissed me.”
“I didn’t say it would be just a kiss.”
He unbuttoned her blouse.
“You shouldn’t. You’re sick!”
She protested, clutching her open blouse.
“I’m sick. That’s why.”
He mimicked her words.
“If I kiss your lips, you’ll get sick. So…”
He smiled, his feverish lips brushing his teeth.
“Show me something beautiful.”
She shook her head.
“I’ll just kiss you. Nothing more.”
His finger traced the waistband of her slacks.
“I won’t go lower. I promise.”
After hesitating, she barely nodded.
He sat up, leaning against the sofa, and patted his thigh.
“Sit here.”
She hesitated, looking at him.
“This way, I won’t be able to take your pants off.”
She quickly straddled his thigh, facing him. He laughed. Slowly tracing the opening of her blouse with his finger, he said,
“If I show you something pretty, would you give me a kiss?”
“No.”
She shook her head firmly.
“Oh really? Still…”
He reached over to the end of the sofa and pulled out a flat box she hadn’t noticed.
“Here’s a gift for you.”
