Chapter 1. Memories (1)

In a seedy motel in Leyburn, England, moans could be heard from all directions.
A white man was kneeling on the bed. His hair was a warm gray color, and his eyes were as blue as the sky.
The black suit and watch the man wore did not match the old-fashioned sheets. As if to blend in with the shabby place, he removed the suit and accessory.
The movement of his long arms was menacing. The woman, half lying on the bed, crossed her legs and said to the man,
“Stop… I didn’t come here to do that with you.”
At first glance, the man’s eyes were filled with an intense thirst. He even flinched as if he didn’t want to accept her words, but she didn’t care.
“I, I don’t want to see you again.”
Her voice cracked at the end. The man bit his lips in dissatisfaction at her statement.
“You should have said that before we slept together. I can’t go back to my past self that wasn’t captivated by you. My body, my mind and my soul.”
In preparation for a strenuous exercise, the man took his phone and card wallet out of his back pockets and tossed them casually on the floor. He then spread the woman’s legs.
He had nothing on him besides headphones and pants. The woman looking at his broad chest threw a sheet at him in an attempt to divert his attention.
The two silhouettes struggled in the dark room. The large silhouette only halted after having completely overpowered the smaller one.
At that moment, the man began to look at her resentfully.
“Is the baby growing well?”
He tried to make eye contact with the woman while frowning, as if losing patience.
The woman did not respond, only looking down. The man’s eyes grew colder.
“Did you have fun with another man even while you had my baby in your belly? Didn’t it make you feel bad to have sex at the risk of its life?”
His index finger swept over the underwear on her spread legs. When the woman bit her lip and tried to push his hand away, the man roughly tore off her blouse and demanded,
“Answer me. Is my baby growing safely in your belly?”
The man watched the woman’s reaction with impatient eyes. She might be trying to avoid having sex with him because she was still pregnant.
However, the woman only looked sadly at the ‘J-D.ISOO’ tattoo engraved on the right side of her pelvis. After tormenting him for a while, she answered honestly.
“… I was hasty to say that I was pregnant. I’m very, very sorry if I confused you.”
Instead of a simple positive response, she apologized. The man’s blue eyes, which had turned cold, regained their warmth.
“I’m glad it wasn’t a miscarriage.”
“So what did you mean by not wanting to see me again?”
If he was going to act like he was worried about the baby, he shouldn’t have been so harsh in the first place. She turned her head away, ignoring his question.
“Answer me. I haven’t been able to sleep for over two months because of it.”
“I don’t know.”
“Don’t you know why you’re avoiding me?”
“I need time.”
“Time…? To run away again.”
“It’s not that. I really need time to think.”
The man had no intention of letting her go this time.
“Then think carefully while we make a baby, no strings attached. Even if you hate me, you seem to like children.”
The man buried his face between the woman’s breasts and began to suck on them. The feeling made the woman tighten her hold on the bed sheets.
“If we try hard enough, the baby will be as beautiful as you. I’ll make sure you won’t have any regrets in the future. Just think about it.”
A breeze came through the slightly open door and stirred the red curtains. Upstairs, a woman in pleasure could be heard moaning like a feline.
She had a feeling it would be her turn soon. She backed away a little, digging her red heels into the mattress in the process.
“Hayden, I don’t want to see you again. You’d be in danger. No, no, no!”
The man tore the woman’s pantyhose and pushed her panties aside.
“It was you who tempted me. It also bothers me that I can’t get you out of my mind even though I know you have a habit of taking advantage of people.”
As he gently pressed against her clitoris with his firm fingertips, a wet noise spread throughout the room. The man smiled at the sound, and asked teasingly,
“Why are you so wet? Were you with someone before we came here?”
He couldn’t quite trust the woman because of how far he had distanced himself from her. The woman struggled and tried to back away,
“There is no time to do this. They could walk in at any time. They might have followed you—Ah, ahh…”
The man looked up excitedly at the woman who spoke urgently.
They were in different worlds. Perhaps the man could not tolerate this for he turned her head toward him, she who was looking away, drawn by the motel where the voices of men and women having sex bounced off the walls.
“Never mind, there’s a lot of staff in this motel.”
When the man took off his pants, the woman held her breath.
She knew that soon, she would feel better. They were only together for fifteen days before separating, but she had become addicted to the physical pleasures he had given her in that short time.
Her lips were already trembling from the growing heat that came from her intimate region.
Then she thought, ‘Why am I stuck here in this dark motel room? How the hell did I get to this point?’
